An assessment of the barriers to the adoption of green building technologies in Saudi Arabia

Abstract The implementation of green buildings is widely regarded as a primary solution for optimizing fuel consumption in the construction and housing sector. Through an examination relevant research literature, most prominent hindrances to proliferation Saudi Arabia were identified. Furthermore, present study employed Fuzzy Decision-making Trial Evaluation Laboratory (FDEMATE) prioritize aforementioned obstacles via Analytic Network Process (FANP), while Decision Super model was utilized. findings indicate that criteria section identified marketing barriers significant obstacle, with weight 0.213, followed by risk cost 0.207, knowledge information 0.195, government-related 0.193 human resources 0.192, respectively, ranked from first fifth.
